Try out your smile before you commit

Our unique process gives you the chance to test out your smile before agreeing to treatment. In only four easy steps, you can start your smile restoration today!

You wouldn't buy a new house or car without checking it out first?

So why should you get a brand new smile without knowing what it will look like first?

Step 1 WE TAKE RECORDS AND LISTEN

During the first appointment, Dr Van de Merwe will make a detailed diagnosis of the oral problems that you have. He takes multiple photographs and videos of the mouth, teeth, lip framework, facial features and full facial profile. Digital impressions or scans are also taken. Special attention is taken to what the patient desires and enough time is scheduled to address any issues and to take time to listen.

Step 2 WE PLAN AND SHOW – TEST DRIVE YOUR SMILE

The digital smile design is transferred to our app where a virtual simulation of before and after is viewable on screen and on 3d digital study models. An artistic “mock-up” is formulated onto the digital models to create a prototype of the proposed changes. The “mock-up” is then transferred to the patient's mouth with a silicone index or 3d printed clip on shells. The process creates a 3-dimensional view of the proposed treatment plan. After this process, Dr Juan Van De Merwe will create a custom made treatment plan and provide an estimation of the costs involved.

Step 3 WE TREAT

The teeth are prepared according to the desired prototype in a very conservative and healthy tooth preserving technique and method . This preparation phase might include only a single visit, or it might also include a period of adjustment and any additional procedures that’s needed to support and create the optimal result. Full documentation and digital scans are then sent to Johan Havenga Lab, so they can manufacture the restorations to perfection and to a world class standard.

Step 4 WE DELIVER AND YOU SMILE!

The final restorations are delivered. Thereafter, final photographs are taken, and a maintenance programme is formulated. The maintenance program will differ depending on the type of treatment that was performed.
